How we picked
We are a small US shop that prints pickleball shirts, hats, mugs, tote bags and towels, so some gifts here are ours, marked with our prices and links. Most are from other brands. We did not test the gear; we chose small things players use every week, with prices we saw on retailer pages (mostly PickleballCentral) in October 2026. Prices change, and holiday sales can push them lower. Sources are at the end.
A Secret Santa gift is different from a gift for someone you know well. You may not know their level, their paddle, their size, or whether they play indoors or out. So every pick below works for almost any player. For gifts for one person you know, see pickleball Christmas gift ideas or the best pickleball gifts.
Pickleball gifts under $10
1. GAMMA PureTac Pickleball Overgrip, 3-Pack ($5.59)
The thin wrap on a paddle handle wears out every few weeks for anyone who plays often. Overgrips fit any paddle, so this is the safest small gift there is.
2. Racquet Inc Pickleball Dress Socks ($5.99 to $6.99)
Dress socks covered in paddles and balls. Silly, cheap and easy to wrap.
3. Selkirk Tacky Pickleball Overgrip, 3 Pack ($6.99)
A second grip choice, from a big paddle brand. Pair it with the socks above and you are still under $15.
4. A 3-pack of outdoor balls (about $10)
ONIX Fuse G2 Outdoor Pickleballs started at $9.99 for the smallest pack. If your group plays indoors in winter, buy indoor balls instead, since they play very differently.
Pickleball gifts under $20
5. Pickleball Plush Microfiber Towel ($11.19)
A plain sweat towel for a court bag. It was $11.19, down from $15.99.
6. Born to Rally Bamboo Pickleball Socks ($12.99)
Soft crew socks with an all-over pickleball print.
7. PickleUpper Ball Pickup Tool ($14.95)
Fits on the paddle handle so the player can pick up balls without bending. Few players buy one, and many are glad to get one.
8. Born to Rally Pickleball King Double-Sided Microfiber Towel ($18)
A step up from the plain towel, with a pickleball design.
9. Merry Kitchmas mug ($19)
"Kitchen" plus "Christmas", for players who know the kitchen is the no-volley zone by the net. The Merry Kitchmas Christmas Pickleball Mug, 11 oz shows a Christmas tree stacked out of pickleballs. It also comes as a Merry Kitchmas Christmas Pickleball Crewneck Sweatshirt ($42) if your limit is higher.
10. Deck the Courts mug ($19)
A pickleball court strung with lights. The Deck the Courts Christmas Pickleball Mug, 11 oz is $19.
11. I Asked Santa for Court Time mug ($19)
For the player who only wants more time on the court. The I Asked Santa for Court Time Christmas Pickleball Mug, 11 oz is $19.
12. A mug with a joke about their game ($19)
If your swap is not Christmas themed, a mug about the game lasts all year. Officially a 3.0, Emotionally a 5.0 Pickleball Mug, 11 oz works for nearly every rec player, and Score Calling Is My Cardio Pickleball Mug, 11 oz is for the group's loudest score caller. All our mugs are in pickleball mugs.
13. Selkirk Premium Paddle Case ($19.99)
A padded case lined with soft terry cloth that fits most paddles, including long ones. A practical gift just under $20.
Pickleball gifts under $25
14. Tourna Specs ($22.99)
Low-cost sport glasses. More players now wear eye protection at the kitchen line, and many have never bought a pair.
15. Ballszie Pickleball Holder ($23.99)
A belt pouch that holds spare balls at the waist. In a white elephant swap, useful gadgets like this tend to get stolen.
16. Born to Rally Lob and Love Lariat Pickleball Necklace ($24.99)
A heart-shaped pickleball charm on a stainless steel chain. Better for a small group where you know a woman will draw it than for a mixed swap.
17. OS1st KS7 Performance Knee Sleeve ($24.99)
A compression knee sleeve. It needs a size (S to 4XL), so it works for a named Secret Santa, not a blind swap.
18. Born to Rally Pickleball Stainless Steel Carbon Fiber Bracelet ($25)
A braided band with a pickleball charm that adjusts from 5 to 8 inches, so it fits most wrists. Right at a $25 limit.
If your limit is $30
19. A funny pickleball tee ($27)
A tee only works for a named Secret Santa when you can find out their size. Our tees are soft cotton Bella + Canvas 3001 in unisex sizes, $27 in XS to XL. Try Paddle Packed, Plans Cancelled Pickleball T-Shirt for the friend who skips everything for open play. More in funny pickleball shirts.
20. A court towel with a line on it ($28)
No size needed, and it gets a laugh when it is opened. The It Was Out Respectfully Pickleball Towel is for the group's line caller; the 44 x 20 Court Pickleball Towel is just the court outline and its size in feet, for a quieter look. Both are 16 x 28 inches.
21. A tote bag ($28)
The 40 Holes of Happiness Pickleball Tote Bag is named for the 40 holes in a standard outdoor ball, and works for any player.
22. JOOLA Water Bottle ($29.95)
An insulated bottle with a clip lid that hangs on a bag or fence. Everyone in the group can use one.
Group gifts and the safe fallback
23. A gift card (any amount)
PickleballCentral sells gift certificates by email in any amount, so you can match your exact limit. Less fun to open, but nobody gets a gift they cannot use.
24. Pool your money for the club ($49.99 to $159.99)
If your group plays at a court with no gear, skip the swap one year and buy something for everyone. A Tourna Pickleball Ballport Mini, which holds 22 balls, was $49.99. A Rally Deluxe Portable Net System was $159.99, about eight people at $20 each.
25. A group clinic (about $105 an hour)
Pool together for a coach. The Vail Recreation District listed semi-private lessons at $105 an hour per group in 2026; many parks and clubs run group clinics for less per person.

Tips for a pickleball gift exchange
- Set the limit and say it twice. $20 and $25 are the most common limits. A limit stops one person from bringing a $150 paddle and making everyone else feel bad.
- Pick no-size gifts for a blind swap. In a white elephant or Yankee swap, anyone could open your gift, so skip clothes, shoes and jewelry.
- Buy for the group's level. A 3-pack of the ball your group already uses is better than a fancy ball nobody plays.
- Make it look good. Put a 3-pack of balls inside a mug, or roll grips inside a towel, and wrap the whole thing. Two small things wrapped together feel like more.
- Steal-worthy gifts are useful gadgets and good jokes. A ball holder, a ball pickup tool or a mug with an inside joke tends to get passed around.
- Have a plan for non-players. If partners and family are in the swap, a mug or tote is still a fine gift to someone who does not play.
What not to buy
- A paddle. Paddles are personal, and anything under $50 is usually a wood or very basic paddle that a regular player will not use.
- Clothes in a guessed size, for a blind swap.
- The wrong balls. Indoor and outdoor balls are not the same.
- A generic "sports" item with a pickleball printed on it. Players notice.
- A pile of random dollar-store items. One useful thing beats five that go in the trash.
- Gag gifts about age or bodies. Jokes about the game (line calls, the score, ratings, the kitchen) are safer in a mixed group.
When to order
Our mugs, towels, totes and tees are printed to order in the US: production takes 2 to 5 business days, then US shipping takes 3 to 4 business days, and US shipping is free. Order at least two weeks before your exchange. For a party in mid-December, order by about December 1, since carriers slow down in the last weeks before Christmas.
Frequently asked questions
What is a good pickleball Secret Santa gift?
Something every player uses and that needs no size: overgrips, a 3-pack of balls, a towel, a ball pickup tool, a ball holder or a holiday pickleball mug. These cost $6 to $25.
What are good pickleball gifts under $20?
Overgrips ($5.59 to $6.99), a 3-pack of balls (about $10), a microfiber towel ($11.19 to $18), pickleball socks ($12.99), the PickleUpper ($14.95), an 11 oz pickleball mug ($19 from our shop) or a paddle case ($19.99).
What are good pickleball gifts under $25?
Everything under $20, plus Tourna Specs sport glasses ($22.99), the Ballszie ball holder ($23.99), a pickleball charm necklace ($24.99) or a carbon fiber pickleball bracelet ($25).
Is a paddle a good gift exchange gift?
No. A paddle that fits a $20 or $25 limit is too basic for a regular player, and paddles are personal even at higher prices.
What pickleball gift works in a white elephant swap?
Useful gadgets (a ball holder, a ball pickup tool) and gifts with a joke players get, like a mug or towel about line calls or the score. Skip anything that needs a size.
Do you have a discount code?
No, there is no code on the blog. US shipping on our items is free.
